Working From Home And Being Your Own Boss

The first time I had a taste of what it would be like to work from home I was hooked. I couldn’t shake the almost hypnotic thoughts – imagine never having to be rudely awakened by my alarm clock again… imagine not having the morning ritual of perfecting clothes, hair and makeup before walking out the door… imagine not having to sit in traffic jams each morning… imagine the freedom of being able to have an afternoon nap when my energy flagged around 4pm most days.

Then beyond the comfort factor, other thoughts ran around in my head about not having to put up with all the hassles of running my consultancy business, being at the beck and call of demanding clients, working to deadlines, juggling too many responsibilities at any one time and being stressed, irritable and wound up too tight most of the time, wishing I had a more balanced life.

I made it my mission to find a way out and set myself free. The Internet had created an instantly accessible worldwide marketplace and people were making fortunes on the web. An internet business was the obvious choice, so I decided on a niche market and started a luxury dog accessories boutique. I designed a line of solid gold and silver pet ID tags with precious and semi-precious gems including diamonds. I started selling mostly to the US and UK markets, but 6 months down the track I ran into problems with my local supplier.

I was on the verge of injecting more cash into the business, when I discovered there were ready made businesses on the net that you could buy into without having to set up the infrastructure and systems yourself, or indeed carry any stock. This seemed like a much easier (and less expensive) path so I set about creating multiple income streams.

My pets love hanging out with me at my home office!

I closed my office and made the transition to working from home full time, and ran my business from a very well set up home office. Being at home was even better than I’d imagined and I did not miss the hustle and bustle of the city, the noise, the traffic or the crowds. I still got up early in the morning, but only because I wanted to, not because I had to – that really does make a big difference to your day. I worked in jeans and t-shirts or sometimes stayed in my PJ’s. During the day I left the house to run errands, go shopping or lunch with friends. It was all so different to how I used to plan and run my work day. I loved it.

Most people want to work at home to be with their kids; I loved being at home with my pets and they loved having me at home and were the perfect companions, cuddling up on my desk, chair or lap. My business was booming, and I was kept busy, absorbed and active.

One thing that had worried me was social isolation – would I feel lonely, left out, become bored? Quite the reverse, as it turned out. For most of my corporate and business life, I had worked with literally thousands of people, running events, tours, promotions, etc. and being pulled in all different directions, and always under high pressure. For me, it was a relief to have peace and quiet at last.

Something else I noticed was that my health improved. I didn’t get sick or catch colds or the flu anymore, from sharing air conditioned office space with co-workers. I stayed indoors in bad weather, sometimes even stayed in bed and read a book if I didn’t feel like working – now THAT is the ultimate hedonistic luxury!

For people with small children, I can imagine it must be an absolute blessing to be able to look after them at home, rather than spending your day in an office, earning money to pay for their day care or baby sitters. Being there when they come home from school, quality time together raising your family, whether you are a stay-at-home-mum, or stay-at-home-dad takes the pressure off and fosters harmony in the home.

Fast forward to today – I’ve been working from home full time for many years now and this is where I am staying. Nothing could ever entice me back into ‘the rat-race’. For most of my career I never saw much of my home because of the long hours, interstate trips, and working weekends on events. Now my home is my sanctuary and I have a rhythm and routine that I follow that keeps me busy for a few hours most days, running a very successful business, and the rest of the time I do whatever I choose to, things I never had time to enjoy when I ran my traditional business.

The home based business I operate has an extensive network of professionals working together, all from their own homes, and we communicate via the internet and telephone. The business attracts high calibre individuals who were successful in their corporate or business life, and have transitioned that success into the home business arena.

In all the years I ran my event management company and worked within the upper echelons of corporate Australia, I never imagined that it would be possible to live this kind of lifestyle, working from the comfort of my home, running a business part time and making a six figure income to boot.

Every day, more and more people are deciding to take control of their lives by becoming home-based entrepreneurs. The Internet and the economy are fuelling this massive growth and anyone who does not jump on the bandwagon will be left behind.

What Is The Next Step?

If you like the idea of kissing the rat race and your alarm clock goodbye, leaving the car in the garage, and taking a 20 second commute to your laptop on the kitchen table wearing your PJs, then working from home may be perfect for you. You’ll be able to watch over your toddler, and be there when the kids get home from school.

Complete the contact form and I’ll provide you with information about a business that can give you back your freedom.

Are You A Victim Of Corporate Burnout?

Battling Stress…? Weight Gain…? Insomnia…? Moodiness…?  Working For Yourself At Home Could Be The Answer.

If you dread getting up each morning to face yet another day at the office, you’re not alone. Whole industries have sprung up to combat corporate burnout because it is now so widespread throughout the world. People are stressed from the demands of their jobs, from the need to climb the corporate ladder, from fear of corporate downsizing.

More than likely you feel you’re on a treadmill and you’ll never get off. Your bosses demand longer hours, higher sales targets, endless reports, your co-workers are looking over your shoulder, you feel you’re not getting paid anywhere near what you’re worth and performing under pressure just to keep your job is taking it’s toll on your health. It’s no wonder you don’t feel any particular loyalty to the corporation that treats you like a work slave.

To add to your stress, rumours circulate about mergers and acquisitions and internal restructuring, other companies announce layoffs, companies are reorganizing and outsourcing, or are subjected to takeovers or bankruptcy. You feel you are not on solid ground and your job may be in jeopardy.

You may be feeling overworked and underpaid like so many of your co-workers. These days it’s rare to work a 40-hour week. Increasing demands from employer’s require you put in 50, 60, and 70 hours most weeks. You hardly see your kids because they’re already in bed when you get home. You’re too tired to spend quality time with your spouse, and sit exhausted in front of the TV just to unwind from the pressure of another hard day at the office.

Or you grab take-way on your way home because you’re starving and too tired to cook a meal, you don’t have the energy to get up an hour early in the mornings to squeeze in a workout, so it’s no surprise that your weight starts to creep up slowly, making you even more tired and stressed and bad tempered.

The stress of too much work, not enough down time to relax and re-energise, not being paid what you’re worth and struggling to balance the cheque book each month makes you feel despondent. You constantly think “is this as good as it’s ever going to get?”

There Is An Alternative!

The Internet has opened up a wealth of possibilities for people just like you to take control of your life back, and end the tyranny of being someone else’s work slave, living paycheck-to-paycheck. By becoming your own boss and working for yourself, you can determine how, when and where you work, and start putting profits into your bank account, not someone else’s.

Imagine how good it would feel if your day to day life was like this -

  • Wake up each morning and work when you want, for how long you want.
  • Enjoy a stress free day with no deadlines and no reports to write.
  • Be able to spend time with your family without asking for time off.
  • Ditching the corporate suits for comfortable clothing.
  • Earning thousands of dollars in profits that make your bank account swell each month.
  • Being free to make your own decisions and determining your future.

Is This You?

You’ve been around the corporate block a few times and honed some valuable skills that will stand you in good stead as you build your own business. Being the CEO of your own enterprise excites and empowers you. You have big dreams to earn a six figure income or senior executive level income without sacrificing your health and time freedom.

If you have a genuine desire to set yourself free from the corporate jungle, then we will show you a simple business system with the potential to bring you a significant income working from a home office and the time to actually enjoy it. As long as you have a computer and phone, the only other requirement is a longing for personal freedom and financial security.

Take the first step toward a wonderful new life and complete the contact form today.

How to Thrive During a Recession

Thrive during a recession? Does that sound impossible? It’s not. Just a few examples of businesses that thrive during recessions are second-hand stores, pawn shops, pest control companies, discount supermarkets and department stores, roof and plumbing repair firms, independent used-car lots and auto repair shops. You can see that these all relate to things people truly need, but they want to or have to fulfill those needs for less. They repair things or buy them used instead of buying new. Of course, all of these require considerable start-up capital. If you don’t have the money to start one of them – or the desire – there is an easier way to build your income and come out on top during a recession.

In fact, while many people are biting their fingernails to the quick, others are happily figuring out how they’ll adjust to the changing marketplace and how they will prosper despite the seemingly negative financial conditions of global recession.

For those of who can’t take a large investment risk, a recession is a great time to look for bargains on things like clothing, appliances and furniture. The markup on these items is high, especially at upmarket stores, and when unemployment and economic uncertainty rise, they need to move the merchandise at whatever price they can get. Bargain shoppers benefit from retail recessions. Home improvement is another bargain you may want to shop for during a recession.

But let’s face it, many average middle-class people are just glad if we still have our jobs. Paying one mortgage is enough, thank you. And if we have any extra cash, we’re not going to use it for stuff we don’t absolutely need right now or for stock-market speculation that could take years to pay off. In fact, the statements we get about the money we’ve already got sitting in super just make us anxious and angry. We did what “they” told us to do, and now look what’s happened!

Perhaps you’ve lost your job since the economy began its downward spiral, or you retired recently and are nervous about whether your steadily shrinking retirement investments will get back on track and last you as long as you live. Like many people, you may already buy clothes at second-hand stores and house-brand food at bag-your-own discount supermarkets. You’ve turned down your heat, found free family entertainment like playing outdoor games or enjoying popcorn and game night. You’ve cut your budget in every way you can think of. Still, you would feel a lot better if you simply had more cash – if you could find a way to not just survive a recession, but to thrive during it.

Have you ever wondered if there is a business niche you would fit into? Are you the kind of person who thinks that if you found yourself with a truckload of lemons, you could always open a lemonade stand? If so, you’re already on the right track to thriving during a recession, because you’re thinking about positive possibilities. As with many events in our lives, something that seems like bad luck can turn out to be the best thing that could have happened.

While you’re feeling positive, take the time to envision how good it would feel to be able to stop worrying about whether you’ll get through a recession. Go a step further, and picture no financial problems at all, and a better life for you and your family. Check in with your entrepreneurial spirit. It’s been a natural characteristic of human beings for centuries, and once you find out what it can do for you, you will be in for some big and very pleasant surprises.

Different financial times call for different efforts. Fortunately, anyone can begin a home-based business. In fact, such businesses are literally exploding all over the Internet because their owners have found such great satisfaction from forging their own futures and feeling the freedom of being their own bosses. Those who have already pioneered the home-based business frontier and found proven systems that have worked again and again have done the “homework” for you. No special skills are necessary to learn these systems, and your investment is miniscule and quickly recouped because of virtually no overhead and the extreme potential of a market of a billion and a half people. Home based businesses now contribute billions to the economy. They are becoming more and more the rule rather than the exception.

Whether you need supplemental income or can devote just 20 hours per week to a home business, you can reap all the financial benefits of multiple streams of high-profit recurring revenue. And you can do it all from the comfort of your home or anywhere else you can connect to the Internet.

So there is no need to wring your hands, bite your fingernails, or panic, because it is within your grasp to thrive during an economic recession. Simply complete the contact form to receive free, no-obligation information.

Do You Have A Passion For Travel?

What would you do if you had enough money to retire and never had to work again?

If you’re like most people, travel would be at the top of your list!

My ultimate travel fantasy is to spend a year exploring the world living on the luxury cruise ship The World. This ship is a floating residential community at sea, with 165 luxurious apartments slowly circumnavigates the globe, staying in most ports from 2 to 5 days. Some residents live onboard full time while others visit their floating home periodically throughout the year, and rent their apartments to travellers for $2,000 to $5,000 US per night.

From the brochure: “Your private apartment becomes your magic carpet and provides you with the ride of your life! Life aboard The World is just the beginning of a lifestyle devoted to the new, the exciting, the adventure and the peace of allowing yourself into cultures and communities only witnessed on television documentaries. Our spacious apartments fitted with all the accoutrements found in quality home design, a relaxed atmosphere and a never ending itinerary to the far reaches of the world are all combined to make The World the most unique vacation home experience.”

I don’t think you can keep your pets on board, so that pretty much puts paid to that fantasy, but it’s nice to dream. Maybe, a month or two at most!

We all like to fantasise about exploring exotic and colourful destinations: unspoiled, pristine white beaches and rainforests teaming with birdlife and native fauna, like Jamaica, Puerto Rico and Costa Rica or vibrant cities filled with rich history and culture like New York, Paris, London and Rome. I remember being overwhelmed with emotion when I stood in front of the Mona Lisa in Paris; met Audrey Hepburn on the Via Veneto in Roma; discovered to my dismay that New York actually does sleep early in January; made a memorable pilgrimage to Bob Marley’s birthplace and mausoleum high in the hills of Jamaica; was surrounded by a school of sharks while deep sea diving in the Pacific ocean; fell in love in Greece…. every adventure exhilarating!

Some of our greatest pleasures and happiest memories we share are of the people we’ve met and places we’ve seen on our travels. How does a romantic train trip on the Orient Express sound? Or something a little more adventurous such as an African safari and getting up close to a Masai warrior? Trekking in Nepal could be your thing or cruising the Nile or Amazon Rivers, maybe a little golf in Scotland or partying at carnivale time in Rio….

For many people though, travelling to far away lands and exotic locations never materialises into anything more than just an idle daydream. They collect brochures, surf the net, watch other people having a blast on travel documentaries, but never get around to actually going anywhere.

There’s never enough time to plan or get away for more than a few days, not long enough to really let loose and head off on an adventure across the other side of the world. Holidays are limited to treks to the nearest beachside resort or maybe interstate to visit relatives.

And it can be costly to travel if you have a family. Add up the price of air tickets, food & beverages, accommodation, car rental, activities like theme parks or water sports, and for many a dream holiday can be more like a pipe dream.

We Have A Solution!

If you’re like me and have a passion for travel, you can start seeing the world as a tax deductible business expense! We show you how to travel for huge discounts on air fares, luxury hotel stays and gorgeous 5 star resorts. And as a self-employed business owner, you can deduct expenses for business related travel. For example, many international business conferences are held in fabulous 5-star hotels or luxury resorts. All fees, air travel, accommodation, meals etc would be a legitimate deductible expense. You may even be able to deduct expenses for your partner/spouse, provided you meet specific conditions.

Any seminars or conferences you attend must be expressly related to your business though. e.g. if you had a gourmet food business and attended a book-sellers convention, you would be hard pressed to justify any deductible expenses, unless you had actually written a gourmet cookbook that you wanted to promote at the convention. In this instance, deducting your travel related expenses makes your international travel very affordable.

Don’t own a business? Budget too tight to travel? Well, there is a solution that addresses both problems and it’s a simple one. Start a business of your own.

Become self-employed and start a home based business. One that is ‘ready to go’ with all systems in place and full training to get you off to an easy start. All you’ll need is a telephone and a computer with access to the Internet and you can be set up in one day. The profits you will make as your business flourishes will provide the money to start planning regular overseas trips. Owning a business will enable you to deduct most of those expenses if you combine your travel with business.

And with the money you can make using our lucrative business model, you’ll be able to afford a jet-setting lifestyle and travel anywhere your heart desires – first class!

If you want a valid reason to enjoy tax deductible travel to exotic destinations then you’re in for an adventure that will change your life.

Complete the form on this page and I will provide you with information on a business that will enable you to indulge your passion for travel sooner than you think.

Starting Your Own Business: What Does It Take?

How many times have you, or someone you know, said something like “I’ve always wanted to have a business of my own. Something I’d really enjoy doing. Be my own boss.”

Lots of people have the dream, but they get bogged down in the details of how to go about it. While this article isn’t meant to serve as a complete business start-up guide, it will give you an idea of some of the steps involved in starting your own business.

1. Hire Professionals
The most important professionals you’ll need at the beginning are a lawyer and an accountant. The lawyer can help you decide if you want to be a corporation, partnership, sole proprietorship, or some other type of company. A good accountant can help you make this decision based on which will be most advantageous to you from a tax angle. A lawyer can also help you register your business and get any licenses and permits you will need, and can advise you about patenting your idea or protecting your intellectual property by requiring everyone you discuss your business with to sign non-disclosure or confidentiality agreements.

2. Make a Business Plan
You may need to hire a writer or other business professional to help you write a business plan. You’ll need one to help yourself get organized as to what your business’s main purpose or goal will be. This could be anything from providing refreshments to people outside the home improvement store to providing technology support to major players in the business world. Either way, you need a plan that sketches out how you will proceed toward your goal and an estimate of how much money you’ll need to get there. What will your equipment costs be? Will you be hiring employees? How about renting office space? All of these cost estimates should be included in your Business Plan.

3. Get Financing
How much start-up money will you need? Do you have savings you can use? Friends or business associates who might want to invest in your venture? Or do you need a bank loan? Whatever the situation, you’ll need to present a copy of your business plan to bankers or investors if you need to borrow money to get your company rolling.

4. Set Up Your Record-keeping System
A good accountant can advise you on the best record-keeping software for your business, and help you set up a system for keeping track of payables, receivables, sales tax, payroll, employee benefits plans, and so forth. You will be relying on the accountant for at least your yearly tax return for your business, and possibly for quarterly payroll and BAS statements.

5. Find a Location
Depending on your business, location may be very important. If you need to be visible to the public (say your business is a homewares shop or bistro), then you’ll have to think long and hard about where you should set up shop. Location can make you or break you-and the rent is due no matter which way your fortune turns. You will also need to get a phone, get the utilities turned on, install your furniture and equipment, and get a sign or two that shouts “Hey look! We’re here!”

6. Set Up Accounts with Credit Card Companies
Every brick-and-mortar business these days takes plastic or they don’t stay in business. You’ll pay a small percentage for every credit or debit card transaction a customer makes and you will need to invest in a method for checking the validity of debit and credit cards.

7. Hire Employees
You may not need to do this step if you’re a one-person operation. Maybe you can get by with just one part-time person to answer phones and do some of the paperwork. Of course, it depends on your business. You can probably run a small bookstore by yourself, but even a tiny restaurant means you’ll need a cook, several servers, someone at the cashier, and so forth. You’ll need to have them complete various forms for the IRS, and you may want to run background checks or at least check some references before you hire anyone.

8. Promote Your Business
Decide how you will let people know you exist, what you can do for them, and why they should come to you instead of someone else. Common forms of advertising are TV and radio commercials, newspaper ads, flyers, and coupons that appear in booklets distributed by local companies.

The list above might make you think twice about starting a business of your own. Perhaps you aren’t looking to make such a financial commitment regarding the hiring of professionals, finding a location… And it’s also a big, big risk.

But let’s look back at the way this article began: “I’ve always wanted to have a business of my own. Something I’d really enjoy doing. Be my own boss.” YOU CAN! Without all of the headaches of traditional business.

There is a very simple way of attaining this goal that has worked well for millions of people. You can have your very own business in your home, and you can cross off all or most of the steps listed above. The best part of exploring home based business opportunities is that there is little risk and the upside is tremendous.

Many of the inconveniences and pressures of the traditional business are wiped away with the home business. The biggest roadblock to starting or buying a business is that they require a considerable up-front cash investment. In addition to the large investment, the time commitment you must make when starting a business can ultimately turn out to be far greater than what you have experienced in any job, and the return is not necessarily worth the extra time or the financial risk.

There is another option.

Fill out the form here and I will provide you with additional information about the opportunity that is truly shaping my life and allowing me the freedom to live out my dreams without all of the headaches and costs of traditional business.

Are You Cut Out To Be Self-Employed?

Over 50% of Australians would rather be self-employed than work for someone else. While every job has its frustrations, being self-employed has some definite advantages. With outsourcing, downsizing, unexpected mergers, and other unpleasant workplace surprises becoming more and more common, self-employment provides some sense of being in control over one’s future.

If you can’t depend on an employer to treat you as more than a worker bee anyway, or if you feel as dispensable as used chewing gum, you may want to consider becoming your own boss.

Here are just some of the reasons self-employment could be good for you:

• You’ll have the flexibility to work your own hours.

• You can choose where you work.

• There is a good possibility you will make more money.

• You’ll have the satisfaction of seeing your own ideas succeed

(instead of having someone else take credit for them).

• You can choose who you work with-or don’t.

• You can leave the constraints of corporate politics behind.

What does it take to be a self-employed success?

Is it the right fit for you? Can you deal with some risk?

Perhaps the biggest thing that keeps people from starting a business of their own is the vision of the disappearing paycheck. A good way to deal with this fear is “Don’t quit your day job.” It may be a bit tough for a while to work at your old job while you get your own business off the ground, but it’s a technique many have used to succeed. Another possibility is to save up enough money for six months’ living expenses before you start your new venture. That way, you can devote your full attention to turning it into a money-making proposition.

Are you resourceful?

Networking and building relationships is one of the main pathways to success for the self-employed. Make a list of all the people you know right now who would be helpful to you if you became self-employed. Everyone you know is a potential source of revenue for your business. Introduce yourself to other small business owners. Join community organizations. Make contacts at Job Fairs. Scour the Internet. Check the yellow pages and the newspaper, and make a list of people and organizations that may be of help to you.

Can you listen and observe?

As a self-employed person, you won’t be simply trotting off to work at the same predictable job every day. It’s important that you listen to what’s happening in your neighborhood, your community, and in the business market in general. What are the trends? What do people seem to want or need? Being able to respond to wants and needs makes you valuable and will bring you revenue. Doing a good job will increase word-of-mouth advertising. It’s especially effective in small enterprises where you may not have a lot of money for promotion.

You must also listen to your clients. Encourage them to ask you questions about anything they don’t understand. Another kind of listening that is helpful is the ability to read between the lines of what clients are saying.

Are you energetic and positive?

Some people swear that in a corporate job, attitude is everything-that you can get away with almost anything if you convince them you’re a team player and that you really care about the company. As a self-employed person, you should be able to project an energetic, positive attitude about your own company. If you can sound successful and upbeat from the get-go, you’re halfway there.

Do you have self-discipline?

People who work at home love to joke about the “long commute” from the bedroom to the computer room. Every day of the week is Casual Friday. While a much more relaxed atmosphere and dress code are certainly major advantages of being self-employed, you will still need to designate a period of time for work, and you will need to stick to it. The great thing is that you’ll be the one to decide how long and when you will work.

Are you willing to learn?

You don’t have to have an MBA to be a self-employed success. There are plenty of successful people who didn’t even finish high school. But you must be willing to learn the things you need to know to run your business. This could mean learning a new computer program, developing a basic bookkeeping system, or learning to write sales letters. There is plenty of help available on the Internet, and you can probably take some relatively inexpensive adult education classes if you need to. If your business really takes off, you can hire other people to do some of the tasks you feel are wasting your time. Once again, the Internet is a great source for accounting, legal, and writing services.

How to Get Started

If you decide to launch your own business, the first step you should take is some self-examination and some research. What are your strengths, and how much time do you want to devote to your business? What is there a demand for? What business would you enjoy?

We’re here to help!

Fill out the form here and I will provide you with additional information about the opportunity that is truly shaping my life and allowing me the freedom to live out my dreams. I look forward to hearing from you!

Home Based Business for Work At Home Mums Australia

Ideal business for work from home mums!If you want to be at home with your children and not have to sacrifice a second income, then it’s time to consider starting a home based business and create a life of abundance and prosperity.

As a mother your children are most likely your number one priority. They deserve the attention only a mother can give them and you have happily chosen to stay home to care for them. You know in your heart that you have made the right decision.

But maybe the choice to be a stay-at-home mother has come with a price? Careful control of the family budget cannot always offset that missing 2nd income. You and your husband or partner may be doing okay and your family is no doubt enjoying quality family time together at home, but have you sacrificed that 2nd income to raise your children?

If you gave up work to be at home with your children, your financial sacrifice can add up to a very significant amount in just a few short years. It’s been calculated that a couple who had earned over $80K per annum, could lose out to the tune of over $1,000,000 income over a lifetime, if a mother decides to resign from her job and stay at home with her child. And this clearly jeopardises your retirement too.

Regardless of your previous income, there are very real long term financial consequences for the years spent raising your children instead of earning a salary. And you need to factor in other benefits like superannuation and medical insurance, etc.

It’s sad that for many women there is a price to pay for choosing to stay at home with your children. You cherish and value your role as a mother. It’s wonderful to play a significant part in nurturing your children’s education and interests. It’s rewarding and fun and you don’t have to endure any of the hassles of juggling job commitments and kid’s appointments that working mothers face.

And you’re not alone. More and more women today are deciding to leave the workforce to stay home with their children. Statistics show a definite trend for families to make do with only one parent working to provide the income. It’s very appealing for these families to be able to raise their children instead of putting them in day care or entrusting friends or family to look after them during the day.

Being a stay-at-home mother has many, many benefits for the family, but it’s likely that part of you will miss the stimulation of work and having your own money. You may want to continue developing your skills and have an outlet for your creativity. Maintaining those professional skills you worked hard to acquire before deciding to leave work can sometimes undermine your desire to be a stay-at-home-mum. You wish you had a way to transform your time, your energy and your skills into money, without comprising the need to be at home.

A home based business can give you back the security of a 2nd income.

You may have noticed the revolution in our society brought about by the Internet. More and more people are sick and tired of sitting in traffic jams each day and spending long hours at an office away from their families in order to make a living. It’s time for you to start learning how people just like you are now earning a very comfortable living from their homes.

You too can start your own home based business, look after your children, and at the same time have a highly profitable professional life.

A 2nd income and zero childcare costs is a win win. You’ll be able to take frequent, quality family holidays, acquire a bigger house for your growing family, fund your children’s education, and save for retirement, among other things.

working mothersEveryone knows that the work you do as a mother is valuable. It’s even been calculated that the salary for a stay-at-home-mum, based on a 90 hour work week should be $90K a year!

Isn’t it great to know your work as a mother is worth almost 6 figures, but there are no income fairies magically writing you cheques for all your hard work.

You have to take control and make money for yourself. And the way to do that is with a home business. Running your own business, you’ll be able to incorporate earning an income into your important duties as a mother.

With the extra income from your home business, you’ll enjoy financial security and won’t have to worry if your husband or partner loses his job. In fact, like many stay-at-home-mums, with your business income, you’ll even be able to bring your husband home and give him the freedom to pursue a new career if that’s what he wants too.

If you want to earn extra income from home to fund your retirement and give your children every advantage, take a closer look at our luxury travel business. You will receive timely information about a hugely successful home based business opportunity that will help you support your family in every way.

Step Outside Of Your Comfort Zone

goodbye ratraceA few weeks ago one of my business partners sent me a thought provoking email that described what he calls “the concept of the default life”. Now depending on your circumstances and mindset, reading this could either depress you or inspire you. But the essence of this story should make you stop and think… is this how I want my life to be?

If you live “the default life”, here’s an example of what it might look like:

1 year from now: you’re still stuck in your dead-end job, hoping for a 4% raise instead of the typical 2% so you can at least afford to keep up with your rising cost of living. You’re merely getting by, living paycheck to paycheck and constrained by your financial limitations.

5 years from now: you’ve been with your current employer for five years – the level of dissatisfaction and unfulfilled creativity is mounting, but your loved ones and everyone around you reassure you that “you’re lucky to have a job, things could be worse”. You put your head down and keep your nose to the grindstone – after all, you have a family to support and your responsibilities are mounting.

10 years from now: it’s almost unimaginable that you’d still be “stuck” in the same rut you found yourself in 5 years prior. Perhaps you’ve had a raise or two and maybe been promoted to a managerial position for your hard work and dedication to the company – but, they also expect more from you and you’re now working 10 hour days instead of the typical 9-5 you were used to.

Your income has risen but your lifestyle has declined. It’s almost like you’re trapped by your own success. With kids (maybe grand-kids) and a more expensive lifestyle you now require managerial level income just to stay afloat. It’s starting to feel like your spinning inside of a rat wheel and you can’t get ahead. The feeling of “the rat race” is becoming very real.

30-50 years from now: you’re approaching the end of your career. After 30+ years of hard work and dedication to one company, you’re rewarded with a small pension that is a fraction of the salary you’ve become accustomed to. You’ll be forced to downsize your home, degrade your standard of living and more than likely take up a part-time position doing unskilled labour. You’re not qualified enough to be competitive in the job market with a continual flood of bright young graduates entering the market every day.

The worst part is, you’ve lost your sense of identity. You’ve spent the prime years of your life working for someone else with very little time to explore your passions, your hobbies and your higher calling. Your family hardly knows you because you practically worked sunrise to sunset and you’re heart is filled with  regret. You played it safe. You followed the path you thought would lead you to happiness. You feel misled, burnt out, and resentful. You have officially lived “The Default Life”.

Ouch!

Most people believe that life “just happens”. Successful entrepreneurs are smarter than that – they understand that in order to achieve more in life, you must be willing to grow – to expand your vision and do things that others aren’t willing to do.

comfort zone

Jumping out of your comfort zone is easier than you think!

The internet age has opened up a world of possibilities so that those who do not want to live ”the default life” can jump out of their comfort zone and break free from the corporate rat race. Being able to take advantage of modern day technology and online business systems to build an income for life has made it possible for every single one of us to take control of our future and create a life with no limitations.

You can choose to live ”the default life” or you can choose to life an extraordinary life. We have the vehicle and support system in place to help anyone take the steps to build a life of unlimited freedom, abundance and prosperity. I hope this has inspired you to take action and think seriously about your future. Where do YOU want to be in 5, 10, 20 or 40 years from now?

Life begins where your comfort zone ends.

The Baby Boomers Business Boom

No doubt you’ve heard about the market niche called Baby Boomers. Well, it would really be valuable for you to learn a bit more about how powerful this market demographic is, and how you can position yourself to help them ride their wave of online entrepreneurship.

Baby Boomers is a term which describes a generation born during the middle part of the 20th Century, following the end of WWII. The birth years of the Baby Boom Generation are the subject of some controversy, but it is generally accepted the period was the eighteen years between 1946 and 1964. By the sheer force of its numbers, the Boomers were a demographic bulge which remodelled society as it passed through it.

babyboomers work from home

Babyboomers want to fund their travelling lifestyle.

Now with Baby Boomers hitting retirement age, the future has never been brighter for the home based business industry. Experts are calling it ‘Business Boom’ and if you’re even remotely interested in success as a home business entrepreneur, you should really take notice here.

With all the negative news about the economy these days, you’d think Baby Boomers are quitting and just lying down to take their negative news while huddling into a fetal position.

No way! Baby boomers have SEEN IT ALL and this negative hype is not getting the best of them. Far from it… they are banding together more than ever and building powerful internet businesses by networking with each other and using massive leverage to their advantage.

You can position yourself as the person who has a proven solution for Baby Boomers to achieve financial leverage and cash flow, while retaining their rebellious freedom to roam at will. And you can reap profits and leverage and financial success you may not have even thought possible for you.

It does not matter what your background is… where you come from… how old or young you are… Baby Boomers are some of the original ‘social networkers’ and as long as you offer them value solutions that work for them they will make you wealthy.

And you’ll have the satisfaction of having helped this powerful generation in their action years.

This generation is young at heart. Always will be and always has been… and they have redefined what ‘retirement’ means (actually, they retired retirement). These rebels are moving all over the planet. They love to travel, have fun and enjoy life. They’re taking care of their parents, their kids and their kid’s kids… and still love staying active and moving around.

The majority of Baby Boomers do not see themselves fully retired, living full-time lives of leisure. With the possibility of 20 to 30 retirement years ahead of them, they are actively looking for challenges, not rocking chairs. Many will launch new careers and start their own businesses, whether for stimulation as a hobby interest, or to turn a profit.

babyboomers and travel

Babyboomers enjoy working while they travel!

They are looking for ways to generate income that will fund their retirement for many years into the future. And they want to be able to do it in the comfort and privacy of their homes, from the balcony of a 5-star beach resort, or from the deck of an ocean view suite on a luxury cruise ship. As long as they have Internet access and a telephone, they are set and can build hugely successful businesses – and enjoy lifestyle well into old age that before the internet age, seemed like an impossible dream.

And they’re interested in simple ways to leverage the internet, to generate enough cash flow so they can keep living life on their terms.

Boomer Ka-Ching!

You can almost hear the cash flowing into home based businesses since Baby Boomers began hitting retirement age several years ago. Experts predict more than 80 million people will start a home based or internet business within the next 5 years. Most will be Baby Boomers. And they like their internet businesses simple, turn-key and lucrative.

Positioning yourself as one who can offer something that works for them can be huge. People are resonating with using leverage and creating leveraged streams of cash flow. Now is the time to get positioned in front of this Tidal Wave.

This massive market is actively looking for a solution and we have that right here. A team of talented and highly skilled professionals are ready to show you step by step how to build your own home based business, so you too can capitalise on the massive Baby Boomer market niche and help free them - and yourself – from any money worries in the future.

Self-Employment Is On The Rise

If you’ve never been self-employed and are just now starting to look at your options for running your own home based business, what you learn may surprise you.

There is a BIG difference between being your own boss and running a traditional business – and being your own boss and running a home based business.

I’ve been self-employed for most of my career and for many of those years my responsibility to my clients kept me at the office for 12 hours a day, sometimes 6 or 7 days a week leading up to a major event.

It was stressful because I worked to very tight deadlines co-ordinating small armies of contractors and assistants to bring all the elements together seamlessly for big occasions like black tie gala fundraisers, sporting events, major conferences, national tours and art exhibitions.

Ask any business owner what they like and dislike about having their own business, and many will tell you a litany of woes, before admitting to the good points. For most, number one on the list of dislikes is the long hours, being a slave to their business. One person I know spent over half a million dollars buying a franchise and recently told me how much he hates it, but that he’s now stuck with it because he signed a 5 year contract. He works 7 days a week and is always exhausted.

I love working from a home office!

Working at home - no makeup, no stress!

But running a home based business is a different scenario entirely. Obviously when you first get started you put in more hours getting everything set up, and going through the learning curve of what you are required to do each day. But once you have your business humming along nicely, you can start to enjoy the true benefit of being self-employed and running a business from home…. TIME FREEDOM!

Here is a list of things I love about running a business from home that I never was able to enjoy running a traditional business -

  • Throwing away my alarm clock. Ah, the tyranny of the alarm clock. Gone forever! Now I wake up naturally, when my body and mind has had enough sleep and rest. And I get out of bed when I want to, not because I have to. What a luxury.
  • No clients or bosses. You truly are the CEO of your own enterprise and in total control. No-one is telling you what, when, or how to do anything. No corporate politics. No annoying colleagues. No demanding clients.
  • No staff. No hiring or firing, no having to deal with the myriad of problems associated with having employees.
  • No stock or inventory to carry. I don’t have to worry about shelf space, or late or lost shipments or suppliers going out of business (which happened with my dog accessories boutique).
  • Low overheads. It’s surprising how much money I’m saving by not commuting (my car sits in the garage and the tank is filled every 6 weeks instead of twice a week), I save a fortune on clothes and accessories and dry cleaning bills, no office to rent, no expensive lunches and dinners several times a week with clients, no staff wages, etc.
  • No stress. No deadlines to meet, no stress or pressure of any kind. Because all the other hassles of running a business have been eliminated, the stress associated with them has also been eliminated.
  • No long hours. No more 12 hour days, no more 6 day weeks. No more hurrying to meetings and being pulled in a thousand different directions. Today I work 4 to 5 hours a day, 4 to 5 days a week. This for me is the biggest benefit of running a home based business…. LIFESTYLE. I have time to do things I thought I’d have to wait for retirement to enjoy.
  • Work from anywhere. Your home office, by the pool, in the garden, in bed, by the beach, in the park, in a café, at a friend’s place, on a plane, on a cruise ship – a home business like ours is portable, therefore, as long as you have a computer with internet connection and a phone, you can run your business from virtually anywhere.

To sum up, being self-employed and running a home business really means that you can set yourself FREE. Free from all the hassles and hardships and headaches of either running a traditional business or working for someone else. Most people spend a lifetime never experiencing the true joy of being free to do whatever they want to do with their time.

I’ve always loved being my own boss, but nothing compares to being self-employed and running a HOME based business, living a life by design and on your own terms.
